Privacy Policy
This page explains how the SceneMoment (時刻影選) website and app (together, "the Service") handle your data. The Service requires no account and runs no server that stores user data.
What we collect
The Service does not collect personally identifiable information such as your name or email address; an address you enter to subscribe to the newsletter is held by Substack (see Third-party services below). The website's language is set by its URL, so it stores no preferences in your browser.
Data the app keeps on your device
Your saves, collections, watch status, ratings, notes, watch history, language and reminder settings are stored only on your device and are never uploaded to a server. You can erase everything from Settings, or export your saves as CSV for your own backup; uninstalling the app also deletes this data.
Notifications
When you turn on the daily pick, the app asks for notification permission and schedules notifications locally on your device, with no push server involved. You can turn it off at any time in the app or in system settings.
Website analytics
The website uses Google Tag Manager to load traffic analytics, which tell us about overall visits such as page views and device types. These tools may use cookies, and the data is handled by Google under its own privacy policy; you can block or clear cookies in your browser settings. The app contains no analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs.
Third-party services
Film and series posters and metadata come from The Movie Database (TMDB), and poster images load directly from TMDB to your device. Trailers play through YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com) and load only after you press play. The newsletter signup form on the home page is provided by Substack and embedded here; the address you enter goes directly to Substack and is handled under its privacy policy, and you can unsubscribe from any issue. "View on TMDB" and streaming-platform links open external websites governed by their own privacy policies.
