SceneMoment recommends films and series by the situation you're in rather than by genre. The website and the app share one catalogue, and every title in it was picked by hand.
Why it exists
When you open a streaming service, the hard part usually isn't finding something; it's that there's too much. A genre tells you what kind of film something is. What you're actually asking at that moment is what you need right now. SceneMoment asks that question instead, then narrows the answer to one title with a spin.
How the catalogue is built
Each title is filed under one of six directions, then mapped to more specific situations such as family, starting a company or a low point. Every title carries one line from the work itself, checked against scripts and published sources; if you spot a mistake, please let us know. Titles, posters and release years come from TMDB.
Website and app
The website covers the gacha, curated lists and downloadable cards, no sign-up required. The app adds saves, watch status and ratings, watch history and a daily pick on top of the same catalogue, with all data kept on your device.
